Elective #1: Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) - 10th Grade
This elective was an exciting, hands-on experience where we worked to solve a simulated crime case. Using a series of clues and following multiple steps, we pieced together the information needed to crack the case and uncover the password. My team ultimately won! The activity took us all around campus and lasted about three days, keeping us fully engaged the entire time.
Elective #2: Sociology - 10th Grade
For this class, we were tasked with writing a detailed essay about a specific country assigned to us. I was given Afghanistan and ended up writing an extensive 32-page paper. Despite the teacher’s reputation for rarely awarding a perfect score, I received a 4.0 on the assignment, making the hard work completely worth it.
Elective #3: Athletic and Conditioning Class - 10th Grade
In this elective, I achieved the distinction of being the strongest girl statistically in the school. I also broke records by holding the longest wall sit, outlasting both the boys and girls in the class. It was an incredibly empowering and challenging experience.
Elective #4: Art - 10th Grade
In this art class, we participated in a contest where we created a digital drawing of a bowl of fruit. Despite not having enough time to completely finish my piece, I won the competition! It was a proud moment that showcased creativity and perseverance under time constraints.
